The Goose Lodge

0

£135.00 up to £175.00 per night

The Goose Lodge is the ultimate retreat where you can unwind, surrounded by natural beauty, close to exciting cities and towns. How you choose to relax in this bespoke hideaway is up to you, whether you're stargazing from the veranda next to the warm firepit with a hot chocolate or a glass of wine in hand or watching the nearby horses, chickens, ducks and geese with a backdrop of beautiful countryside. You could even ease aching muscles by booking a massage or treatment at the on-site beauty retreat to really dial up the pampering. You can't help but feel like this cosy cabin is a home away from home. Reclaimed wood surrounds you while the sheep's wool insulation keeps you cosy whatever the weather throws at you. And there are luxurious details everywhere you look, whether it's the quality bed linen you wrap yourself up with at night, the large monsoon shower to immerse yourself in or the velvet vintage chairs you sink into. Pad over to the kitchen and you'll find everything you might need, including a Montpelier fridge freezer, Dualit oven and grill and gas hob rings. Perch at the handmade oak breakfast bar and admire the stunning views with a fresh coffee from the Nespresso machine, or sip a cup of tea made with the gas-top kettle. For a delicious start to the day, you can always opt for the breakfast hamper (£25 for two), including vegetarian and pescatarian options. When it's time for sleep, retire to the handmade king size bed, knowing that magnificent views await when you wake up, not to mention the refreshing monsoon shower in the stylish bathroom. There's so much to see and do, just a short drive away. Sightseeing? Head to the River Dee and Roman ruins in Chester or the Museum Church in the nearby market town of Nantwich. Prefer life on two wheels? Head to Delamore Forest and discover the cycling trails. Adrenaline junkies can even pop down the road to Oulton Park driving circuit for a thrilling experience. There are also some fabulous pubs and restaurants nearby and cosy cafes to fuel your adventures or give you a night off cooking. Whatever you choose to do, you won't tire of Cheshire's rich beauty.
