Stay just 500 metres from Newquay’s beautiful Watergate Bay at Watersend House. This gorgeous seaside getaway offers stunning views across the sea in one of Cornwall’s most majestic locations. Sleeping up to 14 guests, this property is perfect for a trip away with a group of family or friends. On the ground floor the large south-facing lounge is the social hub of the holiday home, complete with large comfy sofas and a wood burner for those cosy winter nights. There is also a TV and DVD player, BOSE sound system, and WiFi throughout. The fully equipped kitchen/diner comes complete with a double electric oven and AGA, making catering easy even if there are big numbers. There is another wood burner in the dining room, along with a table that seats up to 14 people. When bedtime beckons, there are five delightful bedrooms all offering a great night's sleep. The first bedroom is on the ground floor, making it ideal for those with mobility issues. This room is a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom for added privacy. Heading upstairs leads to a further four bedrooms. The master suite boasts sea views, as does the double bedroom with bunk beds that is the ideal setup for a small family. There is another double bedroom and a twin room on this level, as well as the modern family bathroom with a tub and separate shower. Watersend House is set in an acre of private gardens, making the outside space just as impressive as the interior. Guests step out onto a large deck with plenty of seating where you can sit in the sunshine taking in the spectacular views. Then for that added touch of luxury there is a hot tub sitting in the garden meaning you can hop in for a soak after a day out exploring the Cornish coast. With numerous balconies and outdoor areas, this is the perfect home for soaking up the sunshine whilst breathing in the fresh Cornish air and taking in the amazing surrounding scenery. Of course those staying only need take a short walk and there are on one of the many beautiful beaches in North Cornwall. Whether it’s surfing, coastal walking, or just lying back and sunbathing, it’s all there. Alternatively, nearby is the picturesque town of Padstow with its independent shops and award-winning restaurants, as well as the famous Eden Project.

And next to the sea, you’ll find a stylish yet comfortable cottage, where you can enjoy spending relaxing times together. This cottage welcomes you in true natural style with a wooden bridge across to the front door. Inside you’ll find an open plan living area with wonderful sea views from the large floor to ceiling picture window – superb for watching the sunset. Or step outside onto the sheltered decked balcony for superb sea-views and the perfect place for al fresco dining and sundowners. There is a compact and well equipped bespoke kitchen and dining area, and throughout you’ll find high ceilings with exposed beams, granite walls and lime-waxed wooden floors that give the cottage a light and airy feel. Stairs lead to the ground floor where you’ll find a slate floor, with underfloor heating throughout for a cosy feel. The garden is terraced with colourful tropical plants complimented by the wonderful scenery of Vellandreath Valley with all its flora, fauna and spectacular panoramic views. Nearby is a local inn, award winning Beach Restaurant, Round House Gallery and the attractive little fishing harbour of Sennen Cove, only 10 minutes’ walk across the vast expanse of the sandy Blue Flag beach, which is perfect for swimming, water sports and great for kids with the assurance of the RNLI Lifeguards. If you are lucky, you may even spot dolphins, the odd seal or even a basking shark. Rock climbing is popular on the cliffs and headlands. This is superb walking country and great for cycling or mountain biking. Sennen is also a Mecca for surfing with countless options for all levels of ability. There are great surf schools and equipment hire close by in Sennen Cove and on the beach.
