Lovingly restored, The Shires is a contemporary barn conversion on the edge of the pretty seaside village of St Agnes, just 1.5 miles from the coast. Combining both traditional character and modern living, it’s the perfect holiday property for a family or group of friends (and their dogs!) to explore this beautiful part of Cornwall.
The property has a reverse layout with two bedrooms on the ground floor. Bedroom number one has a king-size bed, Smart television and en-suite shower room, while bedroom number two has two single beds, which can also be converted into a second king-size bed. The family bathroom, also on the ground floor, contains a shower over the bath and a WC.
The first floor contains the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, all with high vaulted ceilings and wooden beams. The living area has a selection of comfortable seating, Smart television and a cosy wood burning stove – the perfect place for relaxing after a day on the beach or exploring Cornwall. The kitchen is well-equipped with a modern design and a range of appliances, including dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
The Shires has use of the lovely communal gardens and a private patio area. There is a store room with beach equipment for guests to borrow, as well as storage for bicycles etc. Here you’ll also find outdoor furniture and a barbecue for use during your stay.

St Ives and the Tate Gallery is within 6 miles, as well as a huge variety of Cornish villages nearby. Immaculately decorated and ultra-modern, the interiors of this three-storey wharf house are superb. Step onto underfloor heating, perfect for warming up after a swim in the sea, and there is space for coats and shoes in the hallway. The first bedroom is on the ground floor, the master bedroom, complete with an impressive super-king-size four-poster bed. It has an en suite shower room, floor-to-ceiling windows taking in the harbour view, a Smart TV, and its own private balcony with seating. There's also a twin bedroom on the ground floor and the family bathroom which is immaculately tiled in Terrazzo.
