The Workers Cottage

0

£325.00 up to £655.00 per night

Built in the mid-19th century and situated in the tiny village of Great Bircham, this charming cottage offers home comfort and luxury in equal measure. Formerly owned by Sandringham Royal Estate, The Workers Cottage was lovingly restored in 2021 by its current owners. The utmost care and attention to detail has gone into the pristine exterior and slick interior. The latter has a bright and airy colour palette, gorgeously complimented by period features such as exposed brick walls and timber framed ceilings. The patio and garden area are beautifully kept, making for the perfect spot to enjoy an evening tipple or to dine al fresco. And should you fancy a relaxing soak, you will have your own private bath cabin for added luxury. Sleeping up to six guests across three rooms, The Workers Cottage offers the ideal countryside escape for friends and family alike. The ground floor houses four rooms. The utility/boot room is accessed via the side entrance and there is a WC sitting adjacent. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all mod cons and has ample workspace, making for the perfect spot to prepare an evening meal for you and your fellow guests. There is a large dining table which comfortably seats six. Here, you will look out onto the garden through a set of patio doors. The living room sits beneath a timber framed ceiling with comfy seating and a cosy wood burner. Ascend the set of stairs in the living room where you will find the three bedrooms: one twin room and two king sizes (one with ensuite). The family bathroom has a bath and rainfall shower. The gorgeous outdoor space boasts a lovely decking area - complete with outdoor furniture and a barbeque - and a well-kept lawn which is afforded plenty of shade by several trees. A charming bath cabin also sits in the garden, looking down the lawn and offering a truly unique spot to lose oneself in. The village of Great Bircham is wonderfully positioned in relation to some of Norfolk's most popular locations and has a fab deli and cafe where you can enjoy a nice cuppa or a tasty lunch. The surrounding countryside is replete with walking and cycling trails, and quaint villages dot the landscape. Just a short drive to the north you will find the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty while Sandringham Estate - one of the Queen's royal residences - is open to the public and just to the west. The town of King's Lynn is less than a 30-minute drive away, while the historic city of Norwich is approximately one hour to the southeast.
