The Flower Shop Cottage
- 0
£215.00 up to £275.00 per night
This beautifully renovated stone cottage is new to the market and has been finished to a very high spec with incredible attention to detail. It is perfect for couples looking for a truly romantic retreat, whilst also nicely accommodating families travelling with children. On arrival you'll be blown away by how stylish and cosy this gorgeous retreat is. The décor throughout is eclectic and modern with funky wall papers and cool detailing, but the overall vibe is of a calm oasis with lots of wood and linens. The kitchen has a fab breakfast and work top area that sits right by the floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. These doors open up onto a lovely private terrace with a picnic bench style dining area and an outdoor wood burner built into the stone wall, bringing the inside out and the outside in. You can crack open the wine and sit outside enjoying the sun or warming yourself by the burner whilst your friend or partner gets busy in the kitchen just a few feet away. Wherever you choose to dine you'll want to cosy down in the living room afterwards and take advantage of the rather brilliant cinema projector. Get some popcorn on the go, light up the indoor burner and turn the lights off for a holiday home cinema experience with your loved one. There are three bedrooms, all very different, all equally fabulous. The master has a large bed with brushed cotton and linen bedding and soothing tones throughout, promising a tranquil night's sleep. The second room (The Palm), has twin beds and a tropical theme, bringing a little of the Amazon to the Yorkshire Dales! And the third, and arguably coolest room, is for the kids and has a tree house theme. This room has comfortable loft beds, suitable for age 6-12 yrs, and a lower bed that can sleep toddlers to small adults. There's bedside camping lanterns and a smart tv in this room and you're welcome to bring your own console, or make use of the Nintendo that's available upon request. This is a great den for the kids to enjoy whilst you chill elsewhere! The wet room is completely luxurious with a walk-in rain shower and a free standing tub beneath an extra large Velux window. There's a flame-effect fire in the wall next to the bath so you can lie there staring at the stars in complete bliss. This room is complete with heated flooring, a non-misting mirror and the rain shower is digitally controlled! You may never leave the bathroom. But if you do manage to drag yourself out into the real world you'll find lots to explore. You're situated at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, with miles of beautiful scenery just waiting to be explored. And, you're also within an hour's drive of the fantastic Lake District, with yet more stunning countryside on offer. Just three miles away you'll find the historic market town of Richmond. The village itself has two great pubs, The Angel Inn, where you can enjoy a Sunday roast with all the trimmings, and The Swan which prides itself on its blend of modern and traditional pub fare.
