Pomeroy Treehouse
- 0
- 2 nights min stay
£282.70 per night
You’ll spy the space aloft amongst the pine trees, with willow branches draped around the circumference like a glistening green fringe. Up the handcrafted staircase, you’ll find a trap door, that you can lower behind you to shut yourself away from the world. The lounge, a deeply calm and inviting space, has floor to ceiling windows, and a wood burner for the chillier nights. With a vast expanse of countryside surrounding you, why not take out the vintage Dutch bikes to explore the area, tiring yourself out ready for an evening of relaxation. Despite having a generously equipped and stylishly furnished kitchen, Pomeroy also sports an outdoor kitchen area, with its own sink, BBQ, pizza oven and even an outdoor fridge – so either make an intimate meal for two in the warm confines of the kitchen or take to the balcony to enjoy food al fresco, with a view of fields towards the vineyard and the cathedral. The deck is coincidentally where you’ll also find the grand bathtub with an air spa system, large enough for two, which you can enjoy as an end of the day treat, staring out on the skyline glistening with stars as it fades from blue to black. The bath could also serve as a welcome rinse after a spell in the Finnish electric sauna on the deck, should you not be tempted to use the double outdoor showers just outside it. Were every meticulously crafted detail of this treehouse not enough, there is one last surprise, a pièce de résistance, hiding away in plain sight. If you follow the winding turn of the spiral staircase inside, you’ll emerge at the roof terrace – an enclosed square of relaxing real estate, draped in tumbling willow leaves, with seating by a gas fire pit, an outdoor tv built into the wall, and even a dumb waiter to bring snacks up from the main deck and back again, as well as a breakfast bar for taking your meals to new heights. Pomeroy isn’t just a mind-blowing treehouse stay, it’s the chance to visit your dreams.

£270.00 up to £415.00 per night
Spend magical evenings relaxing in the hot tub underneath the sparkling skies of this pretty Somerset idyll. Stare out at the beautiful garden and enjoy uninterrupted views of the fields beyond while the birds serenade you with their night song. For those looking to relax, unwind and reconnect with the natural world, then this is the perfect spot. Owl Cabin is a beautifully styled property sitting amongst woodland on an organic farm. The exterior is very much contemporary cabin style, with timber cladding, aluminium frames and an abundance of glass to maximise the experience of living amongst nature. The interior is no less impressive, a vaulted ceiling creates a spacious feel and allows natural light to pour in. The kitchen is country-style with pretty blue cupboards and all the modern conveniences guests might need to put together meals. You will love enjoying lengthy breakfasts at the large wooden kitchen table which sits in the centre of this spacious area, enjoying the tranquility and wonderful views through patio doors which lead out to the garden Should inspiration hit, there is a handy workspace where guests can enjoy the natural world outside while writing a journal or a poem or maybe simply checking the emails. A stylish sitting room awaits guests after long days exploring the area, leave the boots at the door, grab a glass of wine from the kitchen, put up your feet and stretch out in front of the cosy wood burning fire or binge watch a box set on the flat screen television. Come bedtime and a lovely exposed staircase curves around the kitchen and takes guests onto a large mezzanine level. There you find a kingsize bed dressed with white linens and a woollen blanket, whilst sheepskin rugs which cover the floor to keep feet cosy. A modern take on the traditional antler-style chandelier is a lovely quirky touch which adds character to this beautiful cabin. There is a handy toilet en-suite and larger family bathroom can be found on the ground floor, with a large rainfall shower and freestanding bath tub. Visitors may be excused for never leaving the comfort of the cabin but those wishing to explore will find a lovely gastro-pub, The Lord Poulett Arms, just a 15 minute stroll from the cabin. Or pack a picnic and head to the Jurassic Coast for some fossil hunting and sea swimming. You're also close to the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so be sure to bring your walking boots!

Hut 1898
- 0
- 2 nights min stay
£240.00 up to £340 per night
Hut 1898 is a grand and opulent shepherds hut that offers plenty of space for guests to spread out and relax in style. The clean and simple exterior belies a deceptively spacious and luxurious interior that has a fully fitted kitchen, separate bathroom and stunning views of the lake and woodland through every window. The living area and bedroom have been decorated with understated class, with dark wood and tan leather that combines well with the beautiful botanical wall paper, giving the space an elegant timeless feel. Guests will also love the wood burning stove that adds a cosiness to the stylish details throughout. The luxury oversized monsoon shower has pretty mosaic tiles which surround a glass panel providing a view of the lake. It's big enough for two, and as with every part of this gorgeous hut, no detail has been overlooked, including the heated towel rails. Step out of the hot steaming water, wrap yourself in a warmed robe and help yourself to the fully stocked antique gin bar, before settling down to dry in front of the wood burner. Hut 1898 provides the perfect meeting of old time charm and modern convenience, ensuring guests can enjoy a comfortable and relaxing break. Step out through huge glass doors onto the deck and be treated to a little oasis of woodland with your own private garden. Out here you'll find a hot tub of wood and metal which fits seamlessly into the setting, and views of the entire lake, up to the wooded hills beyond. You could be forgiven for thinking you'd somehow landed in Canada. Pop back in to the bar and get a top up before taking advantage of the pizza shed and eating al fresco in the bamboo den fire pit area. This place is truly wonderful and allows you to be part of the wilderness without feeling like you're out in the wild. Enjoy your homemade pizza with a few glasses of wine, and as darkness falls and owls hoot, climb into the hot tub and marvel at the sounds and sights from your own private haven with fairy lights twinkling all around. Before bed, throw some complimentary marshmallows on the fire pit, then snuggle up in the delightfully cosy bedroom and watch your favourite film. Or maybe turn off the lights, switch on the DAB radio, and let the sound of the shipping forecast lull you to sleep. Crewkerne is a market town situated two miles to the east where you'll find a Waitrose and plenty of independent shops. One mile north is Hinton St George, a picturesque village with an award winning gastro pub, ‘The Lord Poullett Arms’. Lyme Regis is also a 30 minute drive away. We recommend having lunch at the Town Mill Bakery or the Mill Tea & Dinning Room, followed by a visit to the microbrewery and art gallery housed in an old water mill. You can enjoy dinner at Hix Oyster and Fish House while you watch the sun go down.
