Oakwood Stables is a duo of two gorgeous Sussex holiday cottages that were lovingly created out of two former stables. Sleeping up to 10 guests across the two properties, this is the perfect stay for big group getaways close to the South Downs National Park. Both stables have been lovingly converted into a destination holiday cottage in the quiet village of West Ashling, where gorgeous interiors and rustic, bespoke furniture await you and your guests. And the easy access between the two cottages ensures you can socialise together as a group with ease. Entertain around a handmade dining table in Lucky’s Stable (the larger of the two) and relax into your hot tub under the stars before sharing stories around the fire. Silhouette’s Stable also has its own private hot tub, so no matter which of the two you’re staying in, you’re never far from the hot, bubbling water. When bedtime beckons, you can slumber in luxurious beds that leave you deeply refreshed ready to explore the rich culture and countryside of West Sussex. You'll know that you've reached a place designed for peaceful holidays and total relaxation with all the comforts of home. Lucky’s Stable sleeps six guests across three bedrooms, with space for one additional child guest on a pull-out sofa bed. The final four guests are accommodated in Silhouette’s Stable, which has two bedrooms and comfortably sleeps four guests, with another sofa bed for an extra child. As you enter Lucky’s Stable through the floor-to-ceiling picture doors, you'll find yourself in a bright and spacious open-plan living space accented with dramatic lighting. Vintage leather chesterfield sofas are set around a welcoming log-burning stove and provide the ideal spot to gather with friends to plan your next day’s adventures or just relax with a film on the smart TV. The modern kitchen is kitted out for creating feasts with all the appliances you will need and is a charming mix of contemporary design and rustic features such as wooden beams and open brickwork. The handmade dining table with bench seating and feature lighting overhead is a lovely sociable space to enjoy evenings over a delicious meal or maybe some board games and drinks. Silhouette’s Stables has another cosy and comfy living room, where vintage leather sofas sit around a log burning stove. Stay toasty in front of the fire whilst enjoying views out to your garden. The kitchen here is also kitted out with everything that you need to make delicious food, which you can share around the bespoke dining table. No matter which of the two cottages you’re in, gorgeous double bedrooms await. All of the bedrooms feature luxurious bedding and beautiful designer wallpaper and they’re all designed in restful shades of nature and feature sumptuous cushions and throws in rich fabrics and colours. The properties both have stunning bathrooms, with walk-in showers and sparkling facilities. A boot room is a useful additional extra at Lucky’s Stable, with ample space for storage and a place to pop muddy boots after a day’s hiking on the South Downs. When socialising together be sure to spend time in either of the decked gardens. You can chill out on large sofas in front of a roaring fire set in the outside fireplace at Lucky’s Stables or lounge in either cottage’s large hot tub as the stars emerge overhead. The gardens are both completely enclosed, perfect for children and your dogs to play in happily. There is even a dog wash area to clean up your muddy canine friends afterwards! The towns of Emsworth, Bosham and Chichester are all nearby and offer a choice of shops, pubs and restaurants, or if you are feeling more active, the South Downs National Park is on your doorstep and is a paradise for hikers and cyclists alike.
