£1,175.00 up to £1,760.00 per week
Stay Lambing Live is a sumptuously converted barn surrounded by atmospheric moorland, gorgeous rolling hillsides and quaint stone villages. The interior of this property showcases the beautiful limestone that this area is famous for - from the handcrafted tiles in the hallway and bathrooms, to an impressive stone fireplace in the lounge. Beautiful raw materials and skilled workmanship really shine throughout this property, setting this exquisite barn in a league of its own. Set on a 400 acre farm, you are warmly welcomed to roll up your sleeves and get involved with life on the farm. Help feed the animals up on the moors or even experience lambing first-hand. And the owners (and their sheep) have celebrity status after featuring on BBC’s Lambing live! If you’d rather admire the farm from the comfort of one of the plush sofas, then that’s fine too. Whichever route you take, this property is a pastoral dream come true. The charming limestone tile flooring in the hallway gives you a glimpse of the incredible quality of workmanship in this property. And with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor you can be assured of a warm welcome. The three double en suite bedrooms all have large luxurious beds, soft linens and handsome oak furniture. In a lovely nod to the farm's livelihood, there are beautiful 100% wool carpets and soft woollen blankets. The luxury bathrooms are all finished to a very high standard and come complete with fluffy towels and gorgeous handmade soaps from the Sedbergh Soap Company. Upstairs you will find a bright and airy open-plan living area and with oak flooring throughout, this barn simply oozes quality. The kitchen, with its handcrafted units, granite worktop and Rangemaster cooker is a real show stopper. Set next to a large oak dining table, it’s a wonderfully sociable space that's great for family dinners. For those wanting a moment of calm, carry on through the kitchen to a delightful little snug. The living room is a relaxing space with a spectacular limestone fireplace and wood burning stove. Large cream and duck egg blue sofas invite you to sit down and relax next to the fire. And with a television and well-stocked bookshelf, there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained. Although with such magnificent panoramic views, you may just be content gazing out of the window. Out in the garden there’s oak garden furniture, a fire pit and BBQ - perfect for summertime evenings with friends and family. In the immediate local area there are breathtaking walks for all levels - from riverside strolls to hikes across the moors. The local market town of Kirkby Stephens is even Cumbria’s first ‘Walkers are Welcome’ town. With delightful cafes, great pubs and plentiful farmer’s markets dotted around, it’s a magnificent area to explore. And with the Lake District just ten minutes down the road, you have two National Parks to choose from.
