Cliff End Fort is a spacious and brilliantly located house with a fantastic sea-facing view where you'll find Jurassic footprints and petrified forests at low tide. It would be an excellent choice for a family of six, a group of friends or three couples wanting a holiday a stone's throw from the beach. There's a marble breakfast bar for casual morning meals, and a long wooden dining table for relaxed dinners by candlelight. The living area is warm and welcoming with big large comfy sofas, two armchairs and a smart TV for movie nights with popcorn. On chilly evenings, after a bracing walk, curl up by the open fire with a good book or just lie back and watch the sea roll in. You might like to go for a morning walk, or dip, before heading back to make plans for the day. Those plans might just be beach, eat, repeat. With a nap thrown in. As well as the amazing nearby beaches, where you can try your hand at kite surfing or simply relax on the sand, Camber is very close to the historic town of Rye. Rye has ancient cobbled streets, plenty of independent shops and an excellent pub, The George, where you can stop for a long lunch and a pint. The hosts also recommend Dungeness Fish Hut for seafood and the Lazy Baker for bread and pastries. Salt, the local farm shop, is also great for stocking up on produce. If you're in the mood for some pampering, Rye has two spa facilities, and if you're feeling especially indulgent you can book Sophie Kingsley, a travelling masseur, to come to the house!
