There’s the Granite Way cycle path following the railway tracks from Okehampton and even the beautiful beaches at Bude if you need even more to occupy your time.Carpenter’s Cabin was designed by Ben and Jo not only to give you a great experience of nature, but also to show how its possible to live more in harmony with it. Wood-burners, compost loos, local timber and solar power all minimise impact on the environment, while careful stewardship of their land has lead to flourishing wildlife that benefits everything except the plants in the kitchen garden, that need firm but friendly defending from slugs! Ben and Jo can talk you through any aspect of living in an ecologically sound way, and even build you a cabin of your own, but all they really want is for you to come and feel the peace of their slice of nature.
