Here there are two super king-size bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, plus a children’s bunk room with four single beds. There is also a further family bathroom. Meanwhile, the living quarters consist of the sitting room with log burner and flat screen TV, as well as a fully equipped kitchen/diner with a range cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. Outside is the private terrace with an outdoor fireplace. The Hedgehog, The Mallard, and The Owl Nest all have a similar spec, although vary slightly. They also sleep eight people, with two super king-size and en-suite bedrooms. The children’s bunk room has two singles, while there is a further super-king room which can also be set up as a twin if required. Once again there is a sitting room with log burner, kitchen/diner, and private outdoor terrace. In all four cottages guests are greeted by a welcome pack consisting of essentials, including homemade cake and biscuits. Finally there is The Love Nest. This exquisite studio cottage has been designed to be the perfect romantic getaway for two people. It has a super-king bed, while the bathroom has both a roll top bath and a double walk-in shower with a rainforest head. Bright and airy in its design, there is a log burner inside and a private terrace with a fireplace outside. While those staying in the cottages can enjoy absolute privacy, they are also perfectly placed to make use of the hotel and its facilities. For those who don’t fancy cooking, why not book a table at the restaurant and take advantage of the superb menu? Alternatively, food can be delivered right to your door. The hotel also has a swimming pool, hot tub, and a range of spa treatments that are all available to guests at The Nests. Guests are also ideally situated for getting out and about and exploring the Lake District and its array of walks, hikes, and amazing scenery.

£1,320.00 up to £2,970.00 per week
Tucked away in the Vale of Grasmere, this luxurious holiday home is perfectly located for exploring the beauty and tranquility of the Lake District. You'll have stunning views from every window with spectacular fells in all directions and the River Rothay flowing nearby. The house has been built on the footprint of a Victorian glass vine house, once part of a walled fruit and vegetable garden for the hotel nearby. Exotic grape varieties were grown here with the sun streaming through the south-facing windows of the vine house. It has now been transformed into a home, perfect for families or groups of friends looking for a quiet, luxurious retreat in the heart of the Lake District. You'll find Rowan at Grasmere at the end of a private lane with a bridge that takes you over the River Rothay. Once through the entrance gate, head up the Lakeland slate path to find the house with the rugged fells rising up behind it. There's plenty of space for your walking gear in the porch and then you can make your way through to the cosy interior. The kitchen, dining area and sun lounge are all spaces perfect for socialising. Whip up feasts using the contemporary, fully-equipped kitchen, and gather around the dining table to enjoy delicious meals together with views of the fells and crags. If you fancy eating outdoors and making the most of the scenery, step through the French doors and straight onto the south-facing terrace. After dinner, head into the comfortable and inviting living room, complete with a beautiful fireplace made of Lakeland slate and equipped with a wood-burning stove. Curl up on the sofas upholstered with Scottish Harris Tweed wool and enjoy a movie night or simply relax and unwind with a book while the fire crackles in the background. The living space also features two upholstered cushioned armchairs which can swivel so you can get comfy and take in the fell views. There are three double bedrooms, all with their own luxurious ensuite bathrooms, pocket-sprung mattresses and HD smart TVs. You'll find bathrobes and fluffy towels waiting for you on the bathroom radiators, along with underfloor heating to keep you toasty on colder days. Outside, the landscaped garden has been designed to frame the spectacular scenery. Sit out at any time of year and enjoy the inspiring view and you'll discover why this was the perfect spot for a Victorian vine house. There's plenty of outdoor furniture for relaxing and dining alfresco when the sun is shining and low level lighting creates plenty of ambiance in the evenings. The fantastic location means that you have some of the Lake District's best walks and scenic spots right at your doorstep. Whether you're a keen rambler or you'd prefer to explore some of the area's charming towns and villages, Grasmere is a great starting point. Begin with a trip into the village for a cup of tea and to try the famous Grasmere Gingerbread, then venture out to explore the breathtaking landscapes by strolling around the lake. If you're feeling adventurous, tackle a famous walk such as Helm Crag or Loughrigg Fell. Helvellyn and the Langdale mountains are also nearby for those seeking more challenging hikes and the rewards of spectacular views.
